Welding repair process

1. Preparation

2. Welding material selection
Welding rod: select a suitable welding rod according to the table material (such as Q235 or 16Mn), such as J422 or J507.
Shielding gas: If gas shielded welding is used, select an appropriate shielding gas (such as CO2 or mixed gas).
3. Welding process
Preheating: Preheat the thick plate or high carbon steel table, and control the temperature at 100-200℃.
Welding method: commonly used manual arc welding or gas shielded welding, select according to the situation.
Welding parameters: adjust the current, voltage and welding speed to avoid overheating or incomplete fusion.
Multi-layer welding: thick plates require multi-layer welding, clean the welding slag after each layer of welding and check the quality.
4. Post-weld treatment
Slow cooling: Cool naturally after welding to avoid cracks caused by rapid cooling.
Heat treatment: Stress relief annealing is performed when necessary, and the temperature is controlled at 600-650℃.
Surface treatment: Grind the weld to ensure the surface is flat, and apply anti-rust paint when necessary.
5. Quality inspection
Appearance inspection: Check the weld surface to ensure that there are no defects such as cracks and pores.
Non-destructive testing: Use ultrasonic or radiographic testing to detect the internal quality of the weld.
Dimension inspection: Ensure that the dimensions meet the requirements after repair.
6. Safety measures
Protective equipment: Wear protective masks, gloves, etc.
Ventilation: Ensure that the welding area is well ventilated to avoid the accumulation of harmful gases.
Fire prevention: Equip with fire extinguishing equipment to prevent fire.
